No more cards...

... except for one, in case of emergencies like booking of air tickets, accommodation online and online shopping :)

Yes, I have decided to terminate all my existing credit cards, except one, simply because I don't find any use in having a lot of cards. I had just returned all my UOB cc, 3 of them, and I felt so relieved. Next, another 3 more from DBS, after I had settled all the outstanding bills.

I think that I have come to a point where these kinds of things doesn't really matter to me anymore. I don't want to be in debt all the time, well, not that I always do. I find paying high subscription fees just to be in debt doesn't sound right. If I had been paying for all my cc's subscription fees, it would amount to some 830 SGD per year. And I'm only talking about those "high class" cards, I have not added in those standard cards. Sure, cc does have its convenience, but why do people need so many? For me, one is enough.

There will be many debts to come: housing loan, renovation loan etc. And the last thing I need is card debts.

I really love this song to bits! One of the ending theme song for the anime, Hajime no Ippo,

Sentosa Flowers 2008

Me and Hubby went to the Sentosa Flowers 2008 this morning. I took about 350 photos, but only less than half can make it. Here are some of my favourites.

Me and my toy.

Me and Hubby.

This one looks like anemone.

Cotton buds.

Somehow, this is my favourite. Looks like painting.

Thank you Hubby.

I hope my pictures are of some standard, and pleasing to the eye. Not too bad, compared to my last trip to Jurong Birdpark. But definitely needs more polishing.

No More Iron Teeth

Yay no more braces! Say good bye ulcers, whipped potato and instant porridge! Woo hoo! Yeah yeah!

And oh, say good bye to 400SGD for the retainer.

Just what am I running away from?

Hai~ How sad can that be? Having reunion dinner by myself. All because I had to go to work, I got to have an early dinner all by myself. So sad...

Anyways,

Just leave me to slog on my own.

CNY's Eve

I can't believe that I'm spending another year of CNY's eve working again. It better be smooth-sailing tonight. Machine downtime had better be minimal. And the free food from the canteen had better be good.

Gotta catch a wink, so that I can wake up at 4pm for for reunion dinner.

"How worst can it get?"

Spring Cleaning

Ah... My room looked so clean now. Thanks to Hubby who helped me with the spring cleaning.

Complete with a new set of bedlinen.

Not the usual CNY color scheme, but I love it.

What Kind of Omu-Rice is this?

Omu-rice is "omelette rice". But the Japanese call it "omu-rice". So it is rice, usually stir-fried with ketchup and served inside an egg wrapping. That is the traditional type. And I love it.

And yesterday, I ordered a "Tarako Omu-Rice" while having dinner in Ma Maison at The Central. I had no idea what it is, but I decided to give it try anyways.

When I didn't see the demi-glace sauce, frankly, I was disappointed. Instead of the demi-glace sauce, it was a clear broth. When I took the first bite, I didn't quite like it. It tasted like the sea. The rice is not ketchup rice, but I can't tell what it is. Maybe some seafood broth or the likes. Then I noticed there was a red blob of dunno-what, as indicated by the arrow in the photo. It tasted savory and a bit like ume. And surprisingly, it tasted better when I mixed some of the reddish stuff with the omu-rice.

But this will be the first and the last time I am ordering this. In the meantime, the search for the delectable demi-glace sauce continues.

"Where is that demi-glace sauce?"

Me, Organizer?

It's so difficult to put something together. There are a lot of factors involved and it's definitely not fun if things keep getting in your way.

But I'm glad things are coming together now and hopefully we all will be able to enjoy the trip.
