Martini but no Martini

I've just learned that most of those drinks with "martini" in the names, do not have martini inside the drink.

How weird is that?

For example, lychee martini. Ingredients include lychee liqueur, vodka and lychee juice. Where's the martini? And why is it called the lychee martini? Another example, red apple martini. You will need apple vodka, apple juice and grenadine syrup. Now where's the martini?

The only martini recipe I know now is, Choya martini. Choya and martini, 3 to 1, and a dash of soda. Ok at least it's making sense.

"I will do more research on this sometime soon."

Martini is the cocktail which is made by combining all these liquors. There's no "martini" to add in. Just like there's no "sex" nor "beach" in "Sex on the beach".

I think you are thinking of the vermouth brand Martini, when you are talking about the "Martini" in martinis.
